Couldn't agree more I go to Belgium fairly regular, I love my Mythos but JUPILER MMMMMmmmmmm

The summer has finally hit Lofoten. For the last few days we have been suffering under a scorching heat approaching 15 C in the shade, cloudless skies and 19 hours of sunshine every day   I have had several trips to the "Far End" of Lofoten in order to cool down in the sea (11 C)   My tan has improved about 400 % and I have finished off my Jupilers    They accompanied my daily BBQs.

Rather like a hint of diluted JUPILER seen through my almost translucent skin    but a "hint of blue" is considerably more than a hint when I have just come out of the ocean.....

Back for a while anyway and happy to see we have made it on the 60 days list  Looks like being a busy time.

It does look busy and I see we are listed too. Can't believe it !!. There never used to be everybody around at that time of year. We need to start a topic on the best way of avoiding all one's friends while trying to enjoy a quiet holiday in Plakias   :'(

John R

What is the 60 day list? I agree about the new topic we have so many friends to see it's almost impossible to fit in to a 2 week hol might have to start doing 3 weeks what a shame...

I thought I'd just resurrect the beer thread as I was just thinking about my first Mythos in May

We have a small boat parked off shore here at present which seems to be shedding the odd barrel or two.
Probably not of Greek origin though!

...... pictures in the papers showed large wine casks being rolled off. I think they were new though (i.e. empty) which apparently may cause a problem for the forthcoming South African wine harvest.

It's OK in my book to help yourself to something that is only going to be dumped anyway, but I felt really sorry for the South African lady who watched her family heirlooms being taken. Also, the rubbish these people have generated is awful.

Mike

ps. sorry, way off topic!

What about those lovely organic beers served at the Souvlaki bar. ( You have to ask specially for them) Blond or dark. Made somewhere on the road to Rethymnon. Have the same tops that the old Grolsch bottles did years ago.
