Can I hazard a wild guess at Zante (from the Z clue) as the Island but as I have never visited I have no idea of the actual place.

Well, that was an obvious clue    .... Zakynthos/Zante it is.  

Above and beyond the rock sculpture (which I was told is natural), you can see Vassilikos, on the far side of the bay.

So, any of the admitted visitors got any ideas?

Porto Agios Sostis ... at the very far end of Lagana(s) beach - about 1.5 km. walking along the beach but a million miles in "planetary" terms.

Agia Katherini somewhere between anopolis and loutro... looks as it got a new coat of paint recently... but there was another building in the foreground ...?

If it weren't for the fact that there seems to be higher ground visible to the left of the chapel I would have said the top of Timeos Stavros. Anyway, I think that view has been posted before.
