Easy one, for those who know!

Where is it and what is it attached to?

[attachment=476:Plaque.jpg]

You might be dragged there by the missus!!

Pete your not eligible!!

I suppose that is only fair as it was me that asked you to take the photo (Camera batteries always run out at the wrong time).

And yes I am being dragged there again by the wife   (and daughter) this year.

Pete
I think it's at Argyroupoli (ancient Lappa).
Well done John  , the plaque is acually attached to the left had pillar in the photo, I'll stick a confirmation pic on later.

The clue was reference to the Advacdo shop (sells all the face creams and hand creams that some women/men perhaps, rave over), under the archway leading to the old quarter.

That's the cafe/taverna as you drop down by the gorge that goes to thingy port where the boat comes in from the bottom of the Samaria gorge. Hope i have made myself clear!!!

'thingy port'? might I suggest Choras Sfakion?? It's the only 'Port' I know locally.

Have another go...  I think I know what you mean! and where you're at, need to be a bit more... like spot on.

i'll hold my hands up I would have remembered those adornments to the olive oil press, if i'd have seen them

my first thought would have been hora sfakion, or one of the villages at the bottom of the imbros gorge, as that's where most of the commonwealth troops were taken off,

but if it's at the bottom of the samaria gorge...thats agia roumelli

Taverna overlooking the Imbros gorge. On the left side as you decend. Has a notice saying that if you stop there to look at the view you MUST buy a drink. Has a display of WW11 relics on the olive press betwwen the bar and the tables with the view. Am I close?

Fabulous place, with incredible character and interior design, did you notice the horns as the door handles in the loo?

You must go there Chris, it's easy to find, just follow the road up into Imbross village, you can't miss it.
Pete and Dawn found it a couple of years ago, so I decided after my annual trek up to Aredena last year, to find the place and have some lunch. I won't say too much about it but it's ALL handmade decor and the views...
And I think you'd like the memomobilia.
Don't touch the grenades, their rusty and they still have pins!!!

I would guess that this was in Vrissis, and that it is on a monument to someone called Constantinou Loudakis.
