Hi Joe,
You don't need to look much further than the far end of the beach at Plakias. Good sand and gently sloping into the water. Sunbeds, if you want them and plenty of space. Futher to the east (30 mins walk), just beyond Damnoni, you have a small beach, usually referred to as Micro Amoudi. This is a sun trap (too hot for us other than towards the end of the day), sheltered from the wind. The water gets deep very quickly and the waves are often higher than at Plakias - great fun!
Have a great time.

Hi Graham,

Thanks your kind reply.
It's good info because I will stay in Paligremnos studio near that part of  the beach.

There is also Souda Beach which is a couple of kilometres to the west of Plakias. It is pebbly but quieter than Plakias. There are a couple of excellent taverna's for lunch or a cold drink, worth at least one visit. If you don't have a car it will take about 30 mins to walk or you can take a taxi and they will arrange to pick you up for the return journey.

Can thoroughly recommend 'Taverna Galini' at Souda - the one at the end.
Many a happy hour and good lunch has been spent there.
Enjoy

The two beaches just east of Damnoni beach are nudist. The eastmost of those two, One Rock Beach, is a favorite of those of us at Youth Hostel Plakias. It is small, secluded/sheltered, has some fun places to jump off the rocks, or swim through a tunnel to the first nudist beach.

We like to sunbath and swim naked too ,but we prefer to do that with no other people around.
You think there is a possibility for that ? ( June 3-June 17)

I didn't reply earlier as I couldn't think of anywhere near to Plakias, so I was waiting to see what others came up with. The answer is, joking aside, nothing.

The nearest place to Plakias that I can think of is Aghios Pavlos which is about 20km east of Plakias as the crow flies - I'm not sure how far by road. You will need a car to get to it. As you come down to the beach at Aghios Pavlos, walk over the headland to the right (west) and climb down onto the beach. There are a couple of small bays populated by nudists, but then if you go to the right, the sand stretches for at least a couple of kilometeres under some cliffs and is almost completely deserted.
