Glad you enjoyed your stay at Kostas-Chrysoulla Jann.  I see you haven't mentioned Angelo the barman - does that mean he isn't there this year?

i see Angelo has broken another heart.....

Hi Gemma, Angelos arrived the night before I left, but he wasn't working while I was there. I've heard from someone who stayed another week that he is now there and working the bar.

While I was there,  the 2 Kostas and sometimes big Kosta's son were there!

Lol.  Actually my OH spent a lot more time with Angelo than I did when we stayed at Kostas (think he spent more time in the bar than in our room!) though I have been back to Plakias on my own since then and it was nice to see Angelo again.  Won't be going back this year as we're going island hopping in the Cyclades, but OH has already said he wants to go back again next year and it won't be the same if Angelo isn't there so I'm glad to hear that he hasn't left.

Apparently all Angelo's family come to Plakias for the summer  and back to Athens for the winter, but Angelo's mother has been ill  which is why they are later this year. but he's definitely there now,

Yes, I believe they've got an apartment across the road from the Dora - lucky things   .  I hope his mother is ok now.

Hi,
my partner and I have recently booked for our first holiday in Plakias. Thanks very much to all who have posted on these forums, it was a great help in deciding on Plakias and in giving us some information about where to go when we get there.

We will be at Kostas-Chrysoulla for 2 weeks from 31 August. Got a good deal with Olympic a couple of weeks ago, around £325 each from Newcastle. Lucky, as their hols to Kostas were reduced then went off the site a couple of days earlier, so I thought I had missed it. Started looking at travelling independently, but I went back on and the hols at Kostas had reappeared - don't know if they had a cancellation or is there was some sort of system error.

I e-mailed Olympic asking to avoid rooms 56, 62, and 67 (though for all I know 67 is in better nick now - the bad post about it that I found was quite old) and also saying we were happy not to overlook the pool - got a nice e-mail back saying that while they could not guarantee it, they had passed the request on to Kostas.

Maybe bump into some of you while we are there?

Hope you have a great time - I'm sure you will. We arrive soon after you depart so we will look out for your footprints in the sand. You have a very good price there - and from Newcastle as well (our local airport).

Hi Alan

You won't see us at Kostas as we stay at Stella (we go independent). However we eat fairly early every evening at Medousa and frequently move on to Livicon thereafter.

Just booked to go back to Kostas on 27th September 2011.  Couldn't resist the Olympic 72 hour summer sale prices at less than £300 each including extra luggage allowance and meals on flights

I'm afraid I've got to wait until next year Dotty as I'm going to Symi this September.  Hope you have a great time and everybody is well

Can anybody tell me the difference at Kostas Chrysoulla between a studio for 1/2 and a studio for 1/3 ?

I realise that it's the number of beds, but I really want to know whether the actual room sizes are different ?
