Answer to 1. is No. 8. Initially numbers 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 are out. Changing ends at the end of the over means that no. 2 is next out, with no. 8 at the other end. No. 9 and 10 are then out, leaving no. 8. to return to the pavillion with a smug look on his face.

Yes, there are now two cricket grounds on Corfu. Large parts of the original one have now been made into parking areas.

quite right mate,

the fence looks close because it's a detail of a larger shot and the lens compresses the foreground a little ( did that make sense??)

have a great time!  there's always that hotel a little up the road from there.... it always has vacancies
