'Allo 'Allo

Harribobs has obviously got such a good new toy for Christmas that it is occupying all his spare time.

A new camera perhaps?

Great Gable on Christmas Day

He was still on the web in January:

The plaudits and praise for that pic must've made his head so big, he can't get in here, anymore

Actually, all the comments are well deserved - it's a miracle if you can "catch the moment" like that.

ps. anyone know why Harribobs has deserted us?
He tends to do that now and again, but he'll be back with a vengence!!

My list in no particular order:

Only Fools and Horses - (got the full box set for xmas, brilliant!!)
Fawlty Towers - Magic
Dads Army - (the film's good too)
'Till Death us do Part - (Wonderfully un PC)
Open all Hours - (Ronnie Barker, need say no more!)
Porridge - (ditto)
Steptoe and Son - (Classic)
Ever Decreasing Circles - (I'm just like him)
The Good Life - (only in Surbiton!)

Good to see there's no US junk other than 'Cheers'.   It all went downhill after that one!

True, it is quiet but I don't think the arcade can be blamed - yes we're in it most of the time but then, there's nothing I was intending to post anyway - holiday booked but too far away to be thinking about it yet. I'm sure posts will pick up closer to May when the flights restart.

On one of the last days of our holidays last year we met this English couple on the beach and amongst other things we ofcourse discussed the wind, for example that if one asks a local: 'when will this %&*(%$%$$)$# wind calm down at last they always seem to say; 'day after tomorrow!' anyway, this couple told us that every time the wind is too heavy to go to the beach and one does not want to get plastered too early they go to the campsite and sit by the pool. They told us: 'just sit by the pool and order a drink and you can stay there all day having this enormous pool for yourself so you can fantasize you are rich and it's your private pool cause there's hardly anyone there'. The trees all around it keep the wind out. Anyone ever did this?

Sure Chris.  Found it out ourselves some years ago.  We haven't ever have it all to ourselves though.  (We were not the couple you spoke to, sorry).

Seeing as it's quiet how about this:

Q. If you were to spell out numbers (one, two, three etc.), how far would you have to go until you would find the letter "A"?
