I think the first photo must be tris petres / trio petra (after looking at the map and Google earth). The bit I recognised was the bit in the distance on the second photo. Aghios Pavlos is around the far headland.

I was thinking Triopetra - I remember (from the first photo) that the road came in one side and followed the coast for a while. We went there this year but I couldn't check it against our photos because I discovered my spare set of recharcheable batteries hadn't been charged

indeed it is trea petra, although the second photo is rather vio petra    (sorry) i thought the eastern side of the famous headland was slightly nicer and less commercial than the west but both were very pleasant indeed

So where is this place Chris? I've got an old (2002) car hire map in the office and I can't find these places on it.

it's east of plakias, past preveli and ligres going towards agia pavlos

if you're going in a normal car, you have to drive thru spilli and take a right at Kambos. in a jeep you take a back road to the right of the gefira taverna (near the old bridge) on the way to preveli

there are loads of little roads to explore but it will basically take you down the coast to ag pavlos

the trea petras

Thanks Chris

I've been down that way several times and was going to suggest it was on the road out of Preveli along the coastline going east but I did that a few times and never saw this, come to think of it I might have seen the signs for Pavlos beach.

Not what I would call easy George! I know there's a mosaic at Lappa so that's my guess

There's no point in making it easy, they won't last 5 mins.

No not Lappa!
