I only had one chilly evening last year when I had to wear trousers and a sweat shirt and I actually felt quite cosy, but the rest of the time was ok.
I don't think you can gaurantee the weather at anytime of the year, so I always go prepared with warm clothes and wet gear, just in case

I've been caught in some unbelievably fantastic storms in Crete when they were least expected.
I was leaving Rethymnon one year in a convertible Punto (the yellow one ) with the top down, as you do, when the weather changed very quickly . The black cloud came over and the rain just fell.
It takes 30 seconds to put the top up on one of those things and by the time I got back in the car I was soaked.
The day, other than that was fabulous, hot, dry and sunny and the storm only lasted for a few minutes and I drove home quelching with the heater on full blast.
Since then I have always travelled 'Prepared'
