Larger studios/apartments
« on: March 12, 2006, 02:57:14 PM »
We are a family of 4 due to return to Plakias at the end of May (half-term) and still looking for the perfect place to stay. Kids are 10 and 12 years and don't fit small places easily. We have been looking for a good sized apt for 4, close to P centre and with a balcony with for that extra beer and a nice view after the kids have gone to bed. Oasis was OK with a pool, but too small and no view. We wonder if we would be better with 2 adjoining studios?
Does anyone have recommendations?
Nice to speak to you, have been guesting the forums for a few years!

What about [a href=\"http://www.apartmentsmanolia.gr/topothesia_en.htm]Manolia Apartments[/url]. They have a top floor place with two large bedrooms and a royal balcony the size of a small football field. Stayed there with my own 10 and 12 year olds last July. It was perfect. Do a search for it in the forum, you will find lots.

There is a nice and big apartment in Zambia's house. Mail me if you want more information.

There is a negative report (2004) on "Zambia" (use search in this forum).
Old fashioned, could be re-decorated by now?

The Horizon Beach Hotel around the corner on the way to Souda also does apartments.  I've never been in them, but looking out to them from the hotel itself they look quite big.  Great views from the balconies.  Might be worth investigating.  The hotel itself is friendly and family run.

Decided to book 2 studios at Apollo, mainly to be able to have a pool for the kids to use. (Evening bar on site maybe handy too!) We will check out some of the other places for future reference though whilst we are there.
