Great series, let's hope it becomes available here!

Keep your eyes open also for 'The Lotus Eaters'. This initially got my interest in Greece especially Crete going.
Plus the fact that I had the hots for the leading lady at the time.

Hello George,

What with your liking for the star of the Lotus Eaters and your admission that you had the hots for Morven, the Olympic Rep. 2005, are you sure you haven't had too many of Lefteris's donuts (Greek Viagra!!).

This needs an explanation. I do not understand about the picture :'( , maybe because I come from another cultural sphere  . I don’t know.

So who is Fix? Is that the guy to the right? Or is that Leen and Fix is the one in the middle. Or is the one on the right George having the hots   for the Scandinavian looking girl (Wanda?)

Fix is not a person, it was a brand of beer perpetrated by Greek Breweries in the days when some of us were young...

Now I finally discovered the cause of Cretanitis (similar to Plakiasitis).
It is not a disease! We all have been drugged. (See below)
All of us must have been given the lotus flower in one of our meals by our Hosts and becoming addicted to the place and Crete.
This is serious business and a thorough investigation is required.
I will volunteer, but need funds for covering my daily expenses.
Anyone has experience on funds raising for such matters?
Leen

The secret:

"To eat the fruit of the lotus is to lose the desire to return home. But everyone who does has a reason."

So Radio Times introduced viewers to The Lotus Eaters, one of the seventies most unusual drama series.

Lotus Eaters marked the start of a prolific and profitable partnership between Michael J. Bird and the BBC that was to last over ten years and take viewers on exotic adventures to Crete, Cyprus and Rhodes in Who Pays The Ferryman?, The Aphrodite Inheritance, and The Dark Side of the Sun.

Following each series tourism soared at the location and Michael Bird became to Mediterranean islands what Delia Smith would become to obscure cookery ingredients.
