apartments in plakias
« on: February 09, 2006, 11:39:27 PM »
I was wondering if anyone has stayed at the following apartments. They all seem pretty nice. We're a family of 4 (2 small kids). We'll be there in late June; it's our first time to Crete. We like quiet, and  we like views.

The three apartments are:

1. Elgini Studios (very cheap, looks like great view, no extra bedroom, between plakias and souda, nice grounds)

2. Serakina Studios (50 E, excellent view, airconditioning, most upscale with wood beams, a bedroom, largest, also between Souda and Plakias)

3. Anemos Apartments (45 E, closest to town, with a ten minute walk; can use pool at local hotel; a bedroom, nice kitchen, a view of Myrthios and a bit of the sea)

We are really torn, and I thought I might send this forum an email to see if any of you know or have stayed at any of these. All are advertised by travel agencies as well as the owners personally.  But there may be pitfalls I do not know.

Any thoughts???

Thanks-can't wait to visit!

Hi,

We have stayed in Plakias town for the last three years at Limani Apartments near the harbour and have had great times there.  Only problem might be the second bedroom or the sofa bed in the lounge  area for the kids. E-mail Sofia katsaragaki
is great at he E-mail Address(es):  sofia_kats@hotmail.com

As a couple we have stayed in Limani apartments which are great for us but for an active family of 4, they may be restrictive. We don't think of that when we sit on our balcony with an ouzo and munchies as the evening air cools before ee head for dinner in town.

We are staying there for a week in June and then taking a villa for the second  week, by which time we will be well chilled!!!

Have a great holiday

Doggie
