That looks very good indeed to me from Glasgow. Costing me £223 per person inclusive of everything from Newcastle in September 06. In fact I've just looked them up for my dates and I could have saved £100 using them and Glasgow is ok for me - drat

Possibly not. But the flights go from Sat to Sat so if we booked we would have missed out on seeing you for a few days

Hello Dotty and hello John

Happy New Year to you both......hope you are wintering well.

Have a look at this......We have just reserved flights to Heraklion  for one month in May/June for £138 return from Manchester........even cheaper still if you fly from Gatwick.

Happy new year to you as well

Things seem to livening up at M/C airport. I didn't follow it through but it looked as if I could get a return inclusive flight (for two) for £305. It seems also to be a British Airways direct flight Operated by GT Aircraft. Am I missing something or are there now more than the one (from Gatwick) none charter flights between UK and Heraklion.

Booked direct with British Airways it is even cheaper at £269 for two people so you want to forget ebookers.

OUCH!!!!!!!!

Not my favourite departure point (Newcastle and Glasgow my first options) but if the price and time is right (it is) I might in future be tempted.

Hi Boxerlover,

Following the above link, it appears that you are going to stay in Crete for five and a half months.
It says the outbound is on 9th May and the return on 23rd October.
Is that right?

Hello All,
Where are these cheap flight prices ? I want to go in the last week of July and first of August and nothing is cheap at the moment, BA wanted 900 quid and others wanted over 300 quid for the pleasure!
I normaly book well before but haven't been able to this year.

For a September price I went direct to the BA site :-

[a href=\"http://www.britishairways.com/travel/home/public/en_gb?source=TOP_home]http://www.britishairways.com/travel/home/...source=TOP_home[/url]

I tried prices from Manchester and Gatwick from 26 September for 2 weeks and came up with £269 all inclusive for two people (NOT each) - Manchester. Even cheaper from Gatwick. I suspect your mid season prices may be significantly higher. This is significantly cheaper than my £446 airtours price from Newcastle.

The BIG surprise to me was :-

A) direct BA flights from Manchester to Heraklion

and

B) the very low prices quoted.

Even flying BA from Newcastle - change at Gatwick - comes up cheaper than my direct to Heraklion Airtours flight from Newcastle on 26 September.

Can't comment on mid season but off season BA is charging some silly cheap prices.

So wish we were go to Plakias for five and a half months   .  All summer long in Plakias .....how lovely.

Actually going on 16 May to 13 June.  For the life of me I cannot understand why the cost of our monthly airfare is so much cheaper than if we were to do our usual fortnight.  ( It is normally the other way round ! )  Even in Sept/Oct when we hope to go again the monthly fare is significantly cheaper  especially from Manchester and Gatwick.

Reply to Alex,

we've used Excel Airways booked through XL.com for the last few years.  Very reliable service and price around £170 from Glasgow (no ridiculous regional supplement).

we're booked for 16th June so maybe see you there?
