Warmer Days
« on: December 09, 2004, 06:25:04 PM »
[attachment=82:attachment][attachment=80:attachment]Seems a little quiet as usual this time of year so just thought to post this. Maybe others will do same and we can put more faces to names. I have permission of Irene and Paul who are with Gareth,Adonis and myself to add this photo must admit though that I haven't asked Adonis (from Mousses) hope he doesn't mind.

Hi Dotty,

When you are writing the message, scroll down to find the  File Attachments section:

[attachment=87:attachment]

Click on the browse button and navigate to your picture on your hard drive, click OK. Then click on the Add This Attachment button, it is now ready to add into your post:

[attachment=88:attachment]

Now click on the Add into post button and the picture will be inserted where your cursor currently is. You wont actually see the pictures until you actually post the message.

Please let me know if i can help further.

Paul

Hi Barny,

Hmmm, should do it automatically. The one in the test area is only 90x71 pixels which is your avatar picture. I doubt the board software would bother creating a thumbnail of pictures this small. Could you try posting a larger piccy?

Due to the limited space available to John on his Web Hosting there is a limit imposed on the forum. Basically each member only has 1MB of space (2MB for Regulars), this could all easily be taken by one picture.

My suggestion for the time being is to resize any pictures you want to upload. A 640x480 jpeg picture should be around the 50kb mark. If anyone would like the full size original then they can contact the owner.

If anyone wants help on resizing pictures please let me know.

Cheers,

Paul

if anyone is looking for a good (and free) bit of software for re-sizing (and many other things)

you can do a lot worse than 'irfanview' have a look at it here

Thanks,  Good photo you both look well relaxed and bronzed.  Doesn't time fly. I can't believe it's nearly the end of Jan.   Summer is just around the corner "not"

Cheers
Irene
