Hi ,glad to hear everyone enjoyed themselves in Sept even though it sounded like it was rather windy! I remember on our only previous visit 8 years ago that it was windy also.
My wife and I have booked 2 weeks in June '05 at the Dora Apts. and were wondering what to expect the weather to be like earlier in the year? Is it likely to be windy then?
We have great memories of the far end and are looking forward to being there again....
best regards to all, Marmaliser.

I'm sure it will be consistently sunny by then and as far as the wind goes, the worst of the meltemi should be still to come.

One trend I've noticed (or am I imagining it) for Greece as a whole is that Mays are becoming less reliable for weather and Octobers more so. Temps have been around 30 Celsius earlier in the week with loads of sun, although there were shortish disturbed spells of weather last month and earlier this month.

We were thinking of travelling last week in May and first week in June, 2005.  Just thought that the colour on the hills might be amazing that time of year.  Any suggestions as to whether we should go earlier or later.

We like a little sun - warm enough for walks and to feel as if our "bones are warmed up".  Any thoughts on the weather for May and June?

We were at the Dora for the end of June this year and there were about 5 days when the wind was too strong to make lying on the beach an option. We had a car for  7 days and was able to escape along the coast/over to the North for some of those days. We had planned for the last 2 days to top up the tans at the far end but the gale put a stop to that which was disappointing. We would like to go back but would probably hire a car for the two weeks to allow us the option of escaping the wind.
