We were there when Greece won their opening game - cue fireworks and flares at the harbour - and the next v. ... whoever. What's it like tonight now they've made the final? Is the place going nuts?

I imagine they've all gone totally bonkers out there!
Wish I was there to share (though I can't be accused of being a footie fan!)
Here's to a win in the final!

CHECK THIS OUT - after making the last post, I checked my mail - great link here to photos showing how the people of Heraklion celebrated the victory of the Greek football team.
It's well worth having a good look at the rest of the site too!
What happens when they beat Portugal (again) and win the final? ? ? ? ?

I would love to be there to savour the atmosphere.
Heres hoping for a Greek win, one because of my love of Greece, two because I usually root for the underdog and three because I have them in my work sweepstake

I wish them all the best for tomorrow and even though I'm not a footie fan, I will be cheering our friends on to victory

Pavlos is right again!
Gary Linaker's comment: The biggest thing to hit Greece since Demis Rousos!

[span style=\'font-size:14pt;line-height:100%\']I'd love to be in Ostraco tonight![/span]

Have a good one Barny! I hope all goes well for you!

Congratulations Greece   and congrats to the Greek and Portuguese fans whose behavior both during and after the match was a great example to others.

Fantastic! Hopefully we can see some pictures of Plakias celebrating, or were people somewhat too occupied to take any?

Well done Greece, I'm truly very happy for you.

Doubtless it will still be discussed when we arrive in September!
