top 10 of places to stay

Although we have not really been very active on this forum, we have followed every message with great interest.

We have been going to Plakias for years and intend to do so for many many more.

We have stayed in Hotel Lamon several times and also in Paligremnos, Oasis Ipokambos.

Although we like to go back to a nice place to stay, we always seem to want to try something new.

Does anyone have any suggestions ?

We are looking for:

- an appartement or studio

- not too far from the centre of Plakias (preferably not going uphill in
   the dark/sunshine

- somewhere calm

- with a nice balcony


and of course friendly Cretans as host (we have learned some Greek (from lessons and a book) and learned how to speak Greek the Plakias way....))  

Any suggestions ?

they have  really good selection.  You might also want to have a look at Interkriti Accommodation

my personal choice for a central location would be the Kritikos studios, quiet and cool but close to the centre

a place in the top ten must be reserved for the Plakias Bay Hotel...what a wonderful view to wake up to
