Accommodation for Single Travellers
« on: May 12, 2026, 06:27:47 PM »
Hi. Recommendations please for a hotel or rooms that charge reasonable prices for a single traveller. We have visited in the past with friends as two couples, but our friend recently lost her husband. She's discovering - as many single travellers know too well - that holiday companies' offerings are geared towards couples with prices for solo travellers appearing to be disproportionately high.

Try Stella Studios?
Flisvos has a single person room too.

Kalimera, when booking accommodation as a solo traveller, you usually pay a higher price all over the world, not just in Plakias. If you book accommodation for two, you simply split the cost (just like with a hire car ? it?s always cheaper that way).

There are a few places to stay (Stella, GioMa...) that rent out rooms quite cheaply to solo travellers, especially in the off-season.

The best thing, of course, is always to view the accommodation in person. Otherwise, I?d have a look on Booking.com.
