Is it just the angle, or is Gio-Ma and Christos on fire in this webcam shot?

I wondered about this the other day but thought it might be a fire on the beach on the other side of the bay (towards the new harbour and Souda) as no-one had commented on it.

I see the 'smoke's back this morning...pretty sure it is coming from the beach on the opposite side of the bay !

Do hope so, Gio Ma is certainly in our 'top three' of tavernas in Plakias, and probably our favourite

Yes, we agree about Gio Ma.

We stay just round the corner, with George at Creta Mere and use this Taverna a least 3 times each time we visit Plakias.
One of the best in town.

Next visit will be in September.

I am sure it is just burning of dead wood and brush.Happens all the time till the end of May. Folks cleaning the land.
