Any update on where new souvlaki house will open. Will the supermarket be staying where it is, with the reduced space. It looks empty in the photos. What a shame. Change isn't always good.xx we will be in Plakias very soon.

To Xechoristo: Update March 2025
« Reply #18 on: March 26, 2025, 06:24:52 PM »
Yassas, To Xechoristo was my favourite restaurant in Plakias for many years.

I ate a plate of gyros in 2024, but I was no longer convinced by it.

Antonis has raised the prices considerably and is now the most expensive grill house in Plakias.

Grill plate 11Euro (2023)

Salads 6-50Euro to 7.30Euro

Tzatziki 5Euro !!! (2022 still 4.50euro)

Best regards from Souda/Plakias, kv

Yassas, the price level in Plakias has risen dramatically this year. You pay ?2-?3 more for a meal than last year. The prices are outrageous...

Water is still free as a welcome drink - with a few exceptions. Olive oil is nowhere to be found on the tables.

I've just spent a week in Paleochora and the price level there is much cheaper (tavernas, bakeries, supermarkets).

Best regards from Souda/Plakias, kv
