I hear that there is a large Christmas tree in Plakias this year near the bridge where the buses turn around plus a nativity scene, is this a first?  & does that mean the big wide world is arriving in our paradise.

No trees were killed in the posting of this message but a large number of electrons became terribly excited.

Looks like Morpheas has taken over the hosting of the webcams.  The new link needs to be moved to the 'Useful Links' tab to replace the old Livikon link.  Ploppy?

The Livikon Webcam 'Useful Link' is now pointing to the new location.

I was there on the 21st and the camera did not lie. We knew the storm was coming and it hit at around 10.30a. We wisely decided to have breakfast in ostrako main building. Just ticking onto eggs & bacon and it turned so dark like something out of the old testament. Rain ruining down the street like a river at the side of the bakery. Thunder, lightning, horizontal rain and hail stones the size of marbles all at the same time....... But it was great... we had been, boiled and cooked for two weeks and locals too were glad to see the rain and it cool down a little. It did settle down by mid evening and we ate outside at Gorgona. The Ostrich new building made of glass filled up with rain. A local said they were going to put some fish inside and use it as an aquarium. A great day, one off.
