Sea turtles
« on: September 29, 2014, 07:30:38 AM »
We have been coming to Plakias twice a year now, for the last 18 years. Two days ago we witnessed something that we have never see before. At 8.00 am on the sea shore at the far end we saw hatching sea turtles from the sand and then making their way to the sea. There were about 80 in total and the whole spectacle lasted for about an hour. A truly marvellous sight and something we will never forget.

Pity we missed that as we came home last weekend, but good to meet you in the Medousa Taverna, your favourite eating place.
Will be back next year !

The certain little dog was still having his first breakfast at the Plakias Bay Hotel. He missed all the excitement !!
