Hi Daza,

You won't be on your own.  I'm pleased that there will be at least one other forum member there.  We're staying at Kosta Chryssoula.  A bit greedy coming back for more - we were there in August!  This time we are bringing along a friend for Miss Arnaki, so hopefully no bored teenager this time, or possibly two bored teenagers instead!

Hoping the weather's reasonable. It's got to be better than Manchester at the end of October.

I may be there...havn't booked yet as problems in UK. Late October has been a regular time for us, its a very different Crete. Yes , places are closing for the winter, but at a leisurely pace. There is still plenty of choice and the locals have time to stop and talk. The weather is usually ok, the sea is at its warmest, and there is no competition for sun beds, although on some beaches there are no sunbeds. Have a great time.

Definitely!  I'm easy to identify, as I use crutches and sometimes a wheelchair, so say hello. We are landing at Heraklion around 830pm, so taking into account on the usual magical mystery tour, we expect to be in Plakias rather late.

Your poor partner staying at home. She's very understanding.
