our favourite in Plakias, fantastic views, foods always good, and Yannis is always the perfect host. Well worth the walk up

It's uphill, but not a difficult walk, and only takes a few minutes. It's worth it for the view over Plakias alone. I enjoy the walk back too - we usually head to Frame for an after dinner coffee.

Last time I visited it, it was shut.  Ho-hum.

Bad luck Noopsy! We're usually there in September/early October - and it's always been open then.

Not a bad uphill walk and there is a steeper but shorter path too. We are the only people whenever we go to the Kastro, so deserted I wonder how they survive. Such a pity as a beautiful view and excellent wine.

Here at the Kastro atm. The food has been very good. Just wish more people would taken the trouble to visit it.

The views over the village is well worth it alone. It is five minute climb on the road near the youth hostel.

Went a couple of times last month while we were in Plakias. Really good! Had battered squid for starter twice and it was beautiful. Took Jeremy the Jimney with us both times though.......... I know......... lazy gits!

We're off to Plakias in September for 2 weeks - and will certainly be visiting Kastro more than once. The menu is not extensive, but it's all good. Their local red wine is excellent, and the welcome second to none. I even enjoy the walk (especially coming back, as it's all down hill)

Oddly enough we haven't tried this place. Walked past it often enough - and it is just a short uphill walk - but didn't ever think to stop.

Back in September, think we'll give it a go. If I can see the lovely 'iridescence' from the cliff/hill at the far end of the beach, in the twilight, and the Dragon, all at once, then I will be more than happy.

We went today with Les and Dave, for our farewell get together (sadly we leave tomorrow). It was our first visit after many holidays in Plakias. We will certainly go again next time we are in Plakias.  The food is tasty, the welcome frindly, the view marvellous and the breeze today comfortable. We even saw a buzzard up close.
