Does anybody know if there will be celebrated The world international touristday at 27.sep. this year, in Plakias ?

No it's Cancelled ! No Money ! They are all broke ! And if ya believe that you're Greek ! Ha

They love it . It's a time to celebrate that the season is over . Any tourists left are encourage to join the celebrations .
What we here on the news doesn't change the people or their tranditions.
So I think that it will be business as usuall .
Let's hope so :-)

Will also look forward to the celebration if it happens.  It will be the final night of our fortnight in Plakias and will give some good Greek memories to go home with.  We were last in Plakias two years ago and again the festival coincided with our final night.  I remember that the tables at Lysseos were packed with people having a good meal and in a good position to see all that was going on.  Wishing all forum members a great time in the town if you haven't had your holiday yet.  Thanks to Lampyland for flagging up some authentic greek music at Souda Bay - we won't be there when that's happening, but if anybody has advance news of anything similar going on in the town in the second two weeks of September it will be great to hear about it.
