Lefteris-The Doughnut man is back!

After a couple of years without his absence due to ill-health, we were surprised to see him back selling his famous doughnuts.

He told us that this year may be his last as he is hoping to renovate/build a small house in Plakias (near the Youth Hostel), where he also hopes to have a few tables for friends, to sell coffee, drinks, specialist treats and snacks. So we wish him well and hope that he manages to realise his dream.

I was expecting the worst when I read last year that his house in sellia was for sale...

It will be great to see him back on the beach, no-one can do the "patter" as well.

What flavours did he have? We haven't tasted an apricot doughnut, per Lefterist in two or three years.

He did his rounds on the beach virtually every day while I was there.  Once or twice Freddy gave him a hand.

His patter when we were there the other week was "A doughnut a day keeps the viagra away!". Absolutely cracked us up. I wonder where he learnt that!

We were only had 4 whole days on the beach but Lefteris did not do his rounds while we were there.  Maybe he was on his hols.
