Season's Greetings
« on: December 14, 2007, 12:55:50 PM »
Hi All

I'm out of here now until 02.01.08, so I'm going to be a bit quiet.

May I take this opportunity to wish everyone a good holiday and an even better new year

Thank you, Graham and Karen.

Ευτυχισμένο το Νέο Ετος  is a literal translation of 'Happy New Year' but a bit of a mouthful. I think the following is more usual:

Καλὰ Χριστούγεννα και καλὴ χρονιά! (Literally: Good Christmas and good years).

A belated Happy Christmas and a Happy New year to all.
I will not be learning the Greek words for this as it will not be of much use next June.
Maybe Happy Birthday would be of use, as will (hopefully) We (Greece) won the Cup!
