Yes, this is a good one. When I have more time I'm going to enjoy comparing this with more recent photos and google earth to see what I can locate.

Well I've had a go at this, but it's an almost impossible task as I can't find many pointers. You can't see the stream, so cannot locate the position of the bridge, and it looks as though the road out of the village has been straightened out from the original track so you can't identify the line of it.
I think that the road where the chip shop, post office etc now is runs between the leftmost two buildings that you can see on the front on the photograph. The leftmost building is probably the old building that is still there today and doesn't appear to be used for anything. After that there is probably the Lamon hotel, or part of it, Flisvos Rooms and somehwere there is probably the Alianthos Pension (if you look at the 1980s photos on
www.plakias.co.uk, Lance Chilton mentions this and I think it forms the seaward bit of the present buildings).
I don't know what the buildings are in the foreground, but the harbour looks to be a hive of activity.
