You might get the impression that the Alianthos is the only one Ems. Your best bet is to wait until you get there and see how many there are to choose from, off the top of my head there's:

Moto Auto Plakias
Monza
Auto Preveli
to mention only a few.

to be quite honest i wouldn't recommend mopeds to anyone in greece, crete, plakias..  the roads are pretty awful, potholes, ridges etc.,and any bit of rain makes them dangerous

Totally agree, but people do crazy things when on holiday

I got blown off a big bike on my way to Gallini about 10 years ago, and haven't been near them since.  
Been on 4 wheels ever since
