After a break of 5 years, we returned this year and so it was the our first year not seeing Freddy collecting the sunbed money. We were very impressed by the new chap who's doing it, noticing that he diligently picks up any cigarette ends or other litter he sees and puts it in a bin. He even reprimanded the doughnut seller for dropping his cigarette end when he was on his fag break at the far end.

His name is Apostolis. This was his third season.
Not only does he keep the beach immaculate (note the planting around the showers) he is a thoroughly charming man.
The beach has improved 1000%.
I hope Apostolis keeps the concession next year.
