plakias in the snow
« on: November 11, 2004, 11:40:46 PM »
Hi folks, im sheryl and have been going to plakias for 16 years now.............this year i was lucky enough to go twice, two weeks in july and one in september.  As you all know we all have made alot of friends out there, and this year everyone was coming up to me with pictures of plakias last december/january when it was snowing, they were amazing to see.  The whole beach front was white. Did anyone else see them or did they think i could relate to it being from scotland???? wish i had 1 to show you they really were something else!

Hi Sheryl
Yes we did see photos of the ?phenomena when we were there in September.  Sofia who runs the shop selling Cretan goods had kept a small photo album.  We were blown away!

Hi Sheryl, welcome aboard.

There were a few pictures of Plakias in the snow posted here. Try looking at this topc.

Seems a bit surreal seeing Plakias like that when we are all used to being frazzled by the sun!
