Going to Plakias in a couple of weeks and staying at Dora studios. Can anyone supply info?
Size of rooms/balconies/facilities etc?
Many thanks

Hi Janie

If you use the search facility at the top of the page and just put Dora, it will return previous posts which will give you all the info you should need.

Hi Janie
My wife Lynda and I will also be staying at the Dora for one week from July 13th. Yes it's our first time in Plakias too. Really looking forward to it. See you there.
cheers
Bob.

Just got back this Tuesday and we stayed at the Dora. We were very happy with the room. Pretty basic but clean. And the balcony has sufficent room to have your breakfast on-and for us the customary evening gin and tonic. But don't expect much hot water!! Contact us if you want any more specific information. It was our first time in Plakias and very pleased indeed-with the one exception of the wind which was pretty overpowering for a few days. Might have needed ear plugs at night with the gale rushing down from the gorges.

I stayed at Dora several times - always been happy, accepting that it's fairly cheap, and you get what you pay for.

As for the hot water - there is a heater to supplement the solar system - but Dora 'forget' to switch it on sometimes - a gentle reminder does the trip.

By the way bryhy, - how did you find the Olympic rep? - heard different reports this year

Found the rep OK. Asked him to do one thing (find out details of the car hire) which he did perfectly. But on the whole, don't tend to use the reps very much.
We actually had a good experience with Olympic. Even had a taxi to and from the airport so didn't get the 4 hour transfer on a coach that some people had to endure on other flights. The only problem we had was identifying that Dora was indeed the right place when we arrived at midnight.
