On a more serious note, this is not good news is it?  I can imagine this being a very attractive plot on which to build a large hotel.

No John, it isn't good news. I think if someone builds on it it could spoil the landscape depending on what they build. Having said that it is a lot of money for a piece of land which does seem to be overpriced. If someone were to buy it they would have something major in mind to make any sort of return. I can't see it being viable somehow. Here's hoping anyway!

Land and Property actually in Plakias all is all too expensive for us  
Hoping to have a look around later in the year - something quite modest, preferably with 4 walls!

Is that the road down from the church, i.e. NOT the road that comes out just past the peligremnos??. Incidentally I believe there is a 2-floor limit to new building there

i've just had it from one of the locals that there might be a 'water' problem there - don't quite know what that means - maybe the water table
