Just entering the second week of our fortnight's holiday, and have enjoyed the best weather ever, I reckon. Also just enjoyed our second meal at Vrisi, a newish restaurant up in Myrthios where Freddie - sorry, my mistake, Fredi, according to his football shirt! - everyone's favourite beach boy, spruces up in smart black to become Freddie, waiter extraordinaire, for the evening. The decor of this place is less traditional and spartan than, say, Myrthios's Platia, but I love the modern style and colours, and they have the comfiest chairs in town. The menu's nicely traditional but with a few different dishes, too, like baked haloumi, and all really well cooked and plentiful - the pastitsio has gone down particularly well with hubbee. And of course they have wonderful views over Plakias. So if you fancy a pre-dinner stroll up through the olive groves I can highly recommend Vrisi - it's just beside the water feature below the main road through Myrthios, with a choice of two footpaths leading down to it from the road, one to the right of the kafenion, one just beside Platia, or if you're driving up from Plakias there's a road off to the left just before you enter Myrthios. Or you can walk or drive up from Plakias through the olive groves by the youth hostel road.
I have pics which I can't attach when I'm not on my home computer - they'll follow!
