Hiya - Newbies Here

Hello all.  We have just joined the forum as we have booked a couple of weeks in Plakias for mid-June.  We got a lot of useful information from you guys via the forum (thanks) and it really whetted our appetite for a trip.  We have been to a fair few of the greek islands (but never Crete) a few years ago and have done a spell of years visiting the Spanish islands (Fuerte, Lanza, Menorca, Formentera) and now fancy a change back to Greece.  Really looking forward to the break.  We couldn't get particularly good flights via Olympic so decided to book it all solo.  Got a nice Thompson flight (dep 07:00) and booked a car at the airport.  Not particularly looking forward to the drive but we'll get to see some countryside.  We're stopping at the Plakias Bay - nice and handy for the Far End - hopefully the hotel is ok, nice and simple and relaxing.  Counting down the days - Chris and Julie

Hello and welcome to the forum.

If you have any questions please ask, there is generally someone who will know the answer.

Don't forget to report back and tell us what you thought of Plakias.

Susan

You will be driving in daylight - so DO look forward to the drive. Very easy and spectacular. Take your time and enjoy it.

Have a great time
