Posting photo's to the forum

In answer to a request here is my step by step method of posting photos to the a thread

there are two methods of doing this, either by uploading the photo from your computer or linking to another site where your pictures are stored

i will deal with each way seperately

if you link from another site, your picture will appear like this in the thread

if you upload from your computer, it will look like this

to upload from another site, you must already have your pictures already posted there

a lot of the major internet companies and film companies now provide free space where you can store and view your pictures

www.kodakgallery.com

www.jessopsphotoexpress.com

www.arrowfile.com

www.flickr.com

go to where your pictures are stored and open the photo you want

right click on the photo and select properties, you will then be presented with a small screen similar to this

the other method is to upload a picture from your own computer, this attaches the photo to the thread and a small 'thumbnail' version is shown at the bottom of the posting

this way you simply type your reply as normal but when you are finished, scroll down to the box below the smileys where it says File Attachments pictures should not be too big, you only have around 600k to play with, as a rule of thumb keep them to under 250k

click the box where it says browse or choose , it then opens up a explorer window like this

choose your photo click on it then click OK and then Add this Attachment

if you preview your post you will not see the picture and you will have to re-attach it again
