Sorry to hear that there is still no word from Andy.

I would be more than happy to help out, I think this is a great little community we have going here and any way that I can put something back in sounds good to me.

John, I'll reply to your PM in a minute. I'm in the US for the next two weeks (been here four already, Marge is doing her nut!) so if anybody wants any cheap stuff let me know!

Cheers,

Paul

Probably one of two things:

1. The form somehow has a hidden required field (unlikely)
2. The upgrade to Invision Power Board v2.0.0 PF1 has caused problems. See this page for an example. If this is the case then we would need to upgrade to IPB v2.0.0 PF2 which I think has this fixed.

With Andy sadly AWOL I guess it is up to you John, unless you care to make me a board admin

Sorry I couldn't help further guys but for the meantime it looks like profiles are going to be stuck as they are

Cheers,

Paul

P.S Just noticed that this was mentioned a while back here right after the upgrade so I guess the new board software is the problem.

Hmmm as a 'Textile' I could start to get an inferiority complex. What with this, anti-personnel mines and the like. Maybe I should shed some clothes and ascend to a higher plane

On a serious note, Andy if you are reading this please come back. Everyone appreciates your hard work on this forum and the help you give us.

Cheers,

Paul

I can also confirm that the Orange PAYG (Pay As You Go) sims also work in Greece which is handy because they don't work here in the US    (Just got here for a 6 week training course, Marge is not impressed    ) whereas a contract sim would work in the US.

Take it easy y'all

Hi Andy,

Looks pretty groovy so far! Did you mention the little pop-up profile cards that you can get by clicking the card button on posts? Maybe it was there and I just didn't see it!

Good stuff.

Cheers,
Paul

Yes I think so Yvonne, but then I never need much of an excuse

Thanks for the link John, I enjoyed watching the movies, they sure were a bunch of happy campers!

Fantastic! Hopefully we can see some pictures of Plakias celebrating, or were people somewhat too occupied to take any?

Well done Greece, I'm truly very happy for you.

Doubtless it will still be discussed when we arrive in September!

I would love to be there to savour the atmosphere.
Heres hoping for a Greek win, one because of my love of Greece, two because I usually root for the underdog and three because I have them in my work sweepstake

Hi Andy,

I wouldn't worry too much about the lack of rep. We have never used the services of ours. If you wanted to book excursions you will find it cheaper to do it independently anyway. Plus of course you have a mine of information here, just ask away!

We'll be long gone by the time you get there in October but I hope you have a wonderful time (I'm sure you will).

Cheers,

Paul

Its the little picture that appears on the left next to your post just above your membership details. Mine currently has the the little red cross signifying the image is unavailable. Soon to be fixed but the second half is coming up

Hi Again,

Had another thought... could you not use high capacity NiMH batteries in your CD/Speakers and then look at something like This Jobby to charge them plus your mobile battery packs. It should also charge your digicam battery pack (or if it takes normal batteries thats fine too).

Just a thought... not cheap though

Or you could use the marvellous Plakias sun, check out Solar Powered Wotsit, you can get wind-up ones too.

Where has my Avatar gone    Sob!

Anything related to the site being down a bit over the last week?
Have to make another one as I don't think I have it anymore after a reformat.

It briefly appeared when messing with my Avatar setting but has now gone again.

I have the same problem being Mr Gadget Man. The trouble I have is the propietry connecters at the gadget end that things use. I suppose you you could rewire all your connectors in to one unit with some sort of switchable step-down jobby so that all your devices get the right juice. I don't have the know how or pateience however so I guess I'll just keep lugging those chargers to Plakias

Cheers
