Frangokastello - Far End

In previous years we've visited Frangokastello but failed to find the naturist end. As 'far ends' go, it's quite some way east from the fort but it's possible to park and get down to the beach without having a long trek. From Plakias, take the road to Frangokastello but about 1km before you get there you will see a big 'Captain Tom' sign and on the left another sign with 'Villa Notos' on it. Turn left at these signs and when you reach the coast track, turn right and park up. The naturist beach is immediately below you. There is a long steep dune down to it which looks daunting but we spotted where others had managed to scramble down and followed in their footsteps. If in doubt, drive along the coast track another 150m and there's steps down to the beach (just into the textile area).
The beach has good sand and was very quiet when we were there. The water stays shallow for a little way so it's ok for swimming.

We went there again this year. There definitely is a naturist area but it is probably 0.5km or more to the east of the main parking area (see my original comments for locating it). I suppose it's possible that it's not naturist earlier in the season but I'd be surprised.

There was certainly a clothes-free zone when I was last there, but that was 10-15 years ago or so.

We went there as well,no far end. Loved far end at Plakias, though got sandblasted once or twice!
