Location: Here on the Plakias Map Stayed at Dora self catering apartments a few times, standard sized rooms although some are slightly larger, all with the usual SC requirements. Large balcony but some of the balconies have a restricted view of the car park because of the private residence right in front of it. Dora is a lovely lady and keeps the rooms cleaned regularly, but there was a rumour that she might be selling up becuase of all the surrounding buildings that are going up. My last stay last year, and I found it a bit claustaphobic, and the steps and the hill leading up to the apartments might be a bit of a problem to anyone with doggy pins. Shame really I like the apartments and loved Dora. Take a right at the Ostraco bar and just follow the road straight passed the Coop until you get to the car park, the Dora is in the far right hand corner. george g... |

Mike G | June 01, 2009, 01:50:00 PM Dora is in a rather unattractive location with a concrete shell of a part-constructed building in front and it is also rather hemmed in, but is very close to the centre of the town and is quiet. It comprises of 10 studios, 6 for 1-2 persons and 4 for 2-3. The front studios have a poor view over the concrete shell but the side ones have quite a decent view of the hills to north and east. The studios are satisfactorily equipped, maintained and cleaned and are serviced about 5 times a week. Unusually, only one towel per person is provided but it is an enormous one. There is a kettle and a two ring hob (no oven). There is a shower curtain in the bathroom and there is sufficient storage space in the studios. The balconies are very private and of a good size. I found that there was ample hot water in the evenings and even some in the morning. A carafe of raki was left in the second week. I would go again as it met all my needs. |
