Thanks for the info, Santa especially! I will get looking now, it will be strange being there at that time but look forward  to a 'different' aspect of the village?
Peter and Dawn, I will leave one in for you both!
George, This place called Gatwick, is it a small airport? with propeller planes? and is the runway clear of cattle? moooooove over!

I wouldn't say it was enormous Barny, but on a bad day the check in queue can end in Brighton.
Oh, and the smaller planes are fitted with Cow bars, the big ones scare them away, but the Alpacas can be a pain, stubborn little critters!

Yeh, some pilots rev their engines just before take-off - that usually sends them packing. :-

Bit of good news. A company called Goldtrail now do Paleochora. Specialists in Turkey but they have set on a lot of Kosmar staff to look after there new Greek side. have gone into many of the old Kosmar accommodations.
Paleohora isn't having a lot of luck is it; first Kosmar goes belly up then Goldtrail. Shame. I wonder if anyone else goes to Paleohora.

We were in Paleochora  at the end of June, then we had a couple of nights in Sfakion, visited Sweetwater, then on to Plakias , spent most of the time fending off would be masseurs at far end!

My strategy will be talk to them in Greek: hopefully they will take me for a local, and leave me alone.
