Hi everyone

Just joined Plakias forum. We are thinking of buying a plot of land just outside Plakias and would love to talk to anyone who has any good advice or lives in Plakias. Hope someone can help.

Many thanks Julie

For various reasons I've been inactive in this forum over the last year (moved house - retired (I think) - started MSc +++).
Some years ago we found and bought some land (1 1/2 acres with 100 olive trees) in Plakias (in Greek - armed with two phrase books, two dictionaries and a calculator since the guy wanted to deal in Drachmas even though they'd converted to euros). After flip-flopping about what we wanted to build we eventually sketched out what we wanted and got an architect and builder. Then after another few years, eventually at the end on 2009 it was finished. Actually the concept of 'finished' is an approximate one. But its finished enough to inhabit even though there are a few snags and some bits and pieces to complete.

So if you are still planning a build let me know what it is you want to know.
