Where to stay
« on: July 08, 2012, 04:33:50 PM »
I'm coming down to Plakias for a week or so from the 17th July and looking for self catering accomodation. I stayed at Kosta last year but am travelling independantly this time. Looking for something friendly, comfortable, with a balcony (sea view) and not to pricey. As you can see I'm looking for the ideal....Any recomendations would be most welcome.

Charlie  :)

not really a sea view but i have stayed at the medousa for my last few visits and i think it's wonderful place, not cheap and cheerful but i really think its value for money

If the sea view is a must i have heard great things about the livicon as well

i suspect we will all have our special places to stay

For a sea view East of the jetty:

Morpheas
Livicon
Flisvos

and at the far end - Paligremnos

but I can't help on current pricing.

Recommend Skinos (http://www.skinos-plakias.com/), lovely family, nice balcony, sea view (it's right at the sea) few minutes walk out of Plakias (to the west), nice and quiet......

Morpheas are charging 38 Euros a night for a studio with a sea view.

Thanks all - have just taken the plunge on Anna apartments which sounds ideal. I'll be about from the 17th till the 25th so if you see or hear a large Scottish guy with a Kindle, some facial hair and looking laid back it's probably me - so say hello!
