Individual booking at the Paligremnos appartment
« on: July 14, 2008, 06:44:42 PM »
For the second time we want to visit Crete. The first time was in Agia Galini. Now we want to go to Plakias.

There are not many tour-operators going to Plakias. The greatest in the Netherlands is http://www.rossholidays.nl with 10 different accomodations.

On the net we found the Paligremnos studios and is not presented by any operator. Are there any recommendations ? And what about the price if you are booking individually. The accomodation looks very nice on the net. The absence of a swimming pool and TV is not of importance to us.

The studio has:
bedroom, bathroom, full fitted kitschen in the corner, air conditιon, teracce
The price is 40Euro including every day cleaning, hot water ,electric, every day changing of towels and every 3rd day changing of sheets.

With Air Berlin we can fly to Heraklion from the little town Munster in the west of Germany.

You wrote about a German airport. Did you had a look on:

http://www8.neckermann-reisen.de/nec2/index.jsp
http://www.tuifly.com/de/index.html
http://www.airberlin.com/

All web-sites are in German. On these web-sites you only can book flights or a complete trips (maybe a last-minute-trip).
I do not know where do you come from. Are the German airports suitable for you?

The Munster airport is nearby, we are living in the Netherlands. Air Berlin has better offers than Transavia.com. Sometimes you can travel for 315 euros for a return with all taxes.
And yes, I was looking at airberlin.com

Our friends are very satisfied with the Paligremnos. I think it would be a good choice.
Due to the school holiday in Germany I believe it is very difficult to find suitable and attractive flights to Heraklion or Chania.

Hi Guys
Welcome
Check out the 'Article System' at the top of the page, then 'Acommadation'. There are plenty of places to stay in Plakias and most have good reviews. If there are no contact details there, get back here and I'm sure someone will have email, www or phone/fax details they can pass on to you!

Hello George,

I did look at the article system and found only something about the face of the owner in where to eat. That's why i started a new topic.

Perhaps I didn't look to thorough.
We think the paligremnos is nice because it's a couple of 100mtrs from the centre and very near the beach.

We've considered the Paligremnos in the past and it's a favourite for several forum members. It is a 10 minute walk into the centre which could be a minus point on windy evenings - but then, you always have the option of eating at the Paligremnos which I'm sure is a reasonable place to eat.

It is settled, the reservation is made. Very easy with email.

Thank you all for replying.

Only 8 weeks to go.
