Anso Travel do bike rental etc
Have a look at the thread Labyrinth studios which covered the subject a couple of months ago. Here is the Anso Facebook space that shows videos of their boat leaving for Preveli beach. Photographs of their new model children's bikes for hire. I believe there are boats to Rodokino beach too.  https://www.facebook.com/pages/Anso-Travel/256238794399853
The boat to Rodakino that departs from Plakias quay also stops at Souda beach for anyone that does not want to walk from or to Plakias on a hot day, Preveli boat leaves from the same quay.

How long does the boat to preveli take ? Also, how long do you get there before the boat picks you back up ?

Here is what Anso travel says.
The boat leaves for Preveli from the old quay in Plakias ( In the town by tavernas).

Departure from the old Plakias harbour is at 10:20.

Return from the Preveli beach back to Plakias is about 15:00-15:30.

The boat tickets you buy directly in the harbour from the captain

(We suggest to be at the harbour at least 15 min before the boat departure)

or at the bar Smerna – exactly opposite the harbour.

The boat trip from Plakias to Preveli beach takes about 40 min one way.

During the high season there can be also a second boat to Preveli from Plakias

at about 12:00 with a later return from the beach.

Last year there were boats going to Rodakino which stopped at Souda beach on the way.
Sorry no details about these trips yet but I am sure it is easy to find out once in Plakias.

Cheers.

The Plakias Facebook page says that if enough people want to go it can be arranged seas permitting. Looks like the only way is by getting a large group together and negotiating with the captain at the Smerna. Plakias Cruises is new this year, they are a private charter that carry up to 25 people. They say they go where the group who has chartered them wants to go including Gavdos . Those are they only two options I know of. I posted about Plakias cruises earlier this year. They have a Facebook page called Plakias Cruises.
