May well have been posted before but I could not find any specific reference on the forums.
Anyways, the wonderful photographic site of Panoramio has a useful function that I am sure regulars on here know about.
Panoramio opens Google maps on the right ride of your browser and displays the satellite image with thumbnail photographs. On the left hand side it displays the photographs of the area you are looking at. Zoom in and more exact images are shown on the left. Drag the satellite image to left or right or up and down and the images on the left change.
Tip. Tick the box that says "Also show photos not selected for Google Earth" for yet more images.
Right click on any image on the left and choose open in new tap so you do not have to go back and forth. Click on the image on the new open tab to view larger version.
A good way to waste some time at your favourite place.
