Looks like Morpheas has taken over the hosting of the webcams.  The new link needs to be moved to the 'Useful Links' tab to replace the old Livikon link.  Ploppy?

Oh, I forgot to add last time that I also drink Rethymnon light and dark beer, but am not sure if it's genuinely brewed locally in Rethymnon or by one of the international conglomerates.

Just so long as tavernas are open to enable (us) pensioners to "withdraw from stock".   :D

I only ever drink Mythos - or Alpha if Mythos is not available (Apanemo) - but will give Fix a try for a change.

If you look under "Articles" you'll find a review that I wrote about this hotel 9 years ago.  I don't know how much of it is still accurate.

Have just read on MSN News that Greece is in danger of running out of money in the next two weeks.  We will all have to keep a close eye on the situation but I, for one, will be bringing cash with me.

I think it would be handy if those going to Plakias over the coming months report back to the rest of us when this proposed legislation comes into force, what impact it is having on hotel and restaurant prices, and if the requirement to pay by debit/credit card is being implemented.

Yes, on one of her "Greek Odyssey" programmes Joanna Lumley visited Corfu (or Κέρκυρα if you're Greek!) where cricket is indeed very popular as is anything British.

Just checked the webcam and there appears to be some sort of march/celebration going on. ???
Think it's National day.
No, it's Ochi Day (Επέτειος του "'Οχι").

I'm surprised that no one has commented on this yet.  Has anyone else noticed the stone 'structures' at the far end of the Far End?  I believe most, if not all, are the work of the chap who looks after the sun loungers.  I didn't take my DSLR with me to Plakias so haven't any pictures to post but surely other people must have taken some shots of them.  I thought they were most interesting and artistic.  What does everybody else think?
