Gossip / Help requested

I am hoping that someone will be able to help me.  For the last week or so everytime I connect to the Plakias forum my Norton Antivirus  tells me that it has detected a virus on my computer   . It is a trojan horse and the object name is  C:\Document...\adv497[1].htm.  My Norton always detects it and resolves it.
This ONLY happens when I connect to the Plakias forum and no other.

Can anyone advise as to how to get rid of this completly ?

The only thing i can think that might help, is to Defrag your computer, i would advise to do this while you go to bed, because when i have started defragging my computer during the day i have been wothout it for the full day, well a couple of hours at least.

Let me know if this is good advise or not

I have just found out that the lad i went to Plakias with in 2000 has died.

I was going to go back with him next yr but i cant now, so who will be there in Sugust next yr and who wood like to meet up.

Plakias / DAMN IT!

I found the best time to go is August, i went in 2000 and for 2 weeks we had temperatures of 120 degress C every day and we didnt see a drop of rain, are you over there now, or is the post been on for a while. If you are there i am so jealous.

Where do you usually stay and if you there now where you staying?

I think i wood have to agree with Susan K, raki is extrmely strong, and at 15 when i 1st tried it, i thought i was going to die, and it did put me off drinking a bit that night, i think it was due to the fact that my throat was killing me. Now at the age of 22 i still havent drank it again since.

It was the most sickining thing i have ever tried, and would never try it again, and wood advise people who dont really like strong drink not to try it.

Or if anyone likes the lining to there mouth throat and stomach i wouldnt try it either.

Where to stay / Where is good??

Well i will say that i have only been Plakias once in 2000, but me my bro and my dad stayed in Alianthos Beach, and it was very nice apart from no fridge nor kettle available in the rooms, but you might remember it is near to the taverna's and beach, and also a very nice swimming pool which i believe to be the best in the area next too the hotel.

My bro stayed in a hostel in 2003 for a month and he had a very good time, it was cheap and very nice, the guy who runs it was chris at the time, but i am not sure if he has left he prob still be there.

The accomodation at the Alianthos is very nice, and i also had a look at the Alianthos Gardens accomodation as 4 italian mates i met were there, and i think that the rooms in the Garden hotel were alot better than the ones in the beach hotel.

People who have been to Plakias more recently might be able to tell you somewhere better, and you might be able to help another person who is looking for a hotel called the Secret Nest. So if someone tells you where it is look at the articles and tell them.

Where to stay / Secret Nest

I have to add a comment, i did explore quite a bit of the village when i was there, but i never heard of anywhere called the Secret Nest, i am imagining it would be in a secluded area, so if i am remembering rightly it would be near the Jetty which i beleive was real quirt when i was there.

We're looking to have our first visit to Plakias in early June.  The hotel we are looking at is called Secret Nest. I was just wondering if any of you regulars had stayed there, or if you know of the place?

Any advice / opinions gratefully recieved as we are supposed to be booking up tomorrow.
