Plakias / Temperature and other queries

Hi,
Been reading the forum with interest. Have to say it's refreshing to find one with useful comment and sensible contributors.
Am considering a trip to Plakias in early July and have one or two concerns.
How hot is it going to be? Am I going to fry?
The natural charm and lack of massive commercialism all sound right up my street, but I am a bit worried it might be a tad too sleepy in the day time. I'm particularly into my watersports of all varieties. Anything like that going on? Windsurfing perhaps? I see a few mentions of snorkeling but nothing on scuba???
Anyone know the Phoenix Apartments? Brochure says it is 2km from the heart of the resort. Is this brochure speak for 5km down a badly lit farm track?
