Where to stay / overnighting in Agia Roumeli

Hi all,

Has anyone spent the night in Agia Roumeli, and walked in the gorge in the early morning?  I'd like to find a cheap, clean and well-located place to stay for a night (or two).  All comments on Agia Roumeli, the ferry trip, the bus from Plakias, etc. welcome!  Maytbe this belongs in the trips around Plakias forum but I can't figure out how to move it now!

Holiday Companies / Smart Holidays

 We used Smart Holidays in 2000 and in 2001, and were absolutely delighted with all aspects of their service.  They have a wide range of accommodation, all of it carefully selected apparently.  We stayed in Plakias, Kamilari and Chorafakia near Chania.  Both times we chose to book a taxi transfer from Heraklion to Plakias, and found the drivers reliable, friendly and it came at a fair price.  We also used them to hire cars.  They really mean what they say about catering for the independent traveller.  Erna and Sylvia are friendly and will give very good advice if asked, which comes from what seems an enormous amount of experience with Crete and Cretan life.  I can't recommend them highly enough!

Where to stay / Olive Grove Rooms and Studios

 In 1994 we stayed in Olive Grove Rooms and Studios through a package holiday with Sunworld, and haven't been able to find it listed anywhere since.  It is a really lovely place with amazing views, just up the little road past the Secret Nest Restaurant.  Does anyone know how to book it, or how to contact the owners?  At that time the owners lived in Olive Grove in the holiday season and Rethymnon in the winters.  Any information would be appreciated.
