Hi George, thanks for reply.
I just wrote that we were for the first time to Plakias and had good days there. We were there betw. 9 and 20 July. There were quite a lot of Czechs so I expected that maybe some of them visit also this forum.

I was surprised also by a strong wind and extremely high temperature certainly exceeding 40 centigrades, although all weather reports for Crete announced temp. max. around 28...

yes I have been there with my family, it means with my wife and 2 children...
where did you learn to understand Czech?

V Plakiasu jsme byli s rodinou poprvé a bylo fajn. Občas to dost foukalo, ale prý to bývá i horší a dokáže to zkazit dovolenou. Ale v době, kdy jsme tam byli my, tj. 9.-20.7. se tam díky občasnému větru dala snést značná parna, která an Krétě panovala. Přitom v českých novinách psali, že na Krétě je max. 28 stupňů - hm, no, musely tam být min. čtyřicítky.

Taky by se dalo čekat podle těchto stránek, že tam byli jako utristi samí Angláni, ale spíš mi připadlo, že skoro nejvíc tam bylo Čechů...:-)
